Group Sessions

Group sessions are a great way to get fit, tone up & stay active whilst enjoying the community feel & socializing with other like-minded people.

The group sessions run for 45mins & are conducted in a circuit style, including a fun & interactive warm up & cool down. During the main part of the workout we will be working on increasing strength, functional fitness & all over body toning. All fitness levels are catered for with regressions for the beginner & progressions for the more advanced exerciser.

Safety is paramount at Your Best Yet, so for every new member to the class, it is a requirement of participation, that everyone join an Introductory Class prior to their first group session. New participants have the option to take their Introductory Class 40mins before a group session, or after a session depending on whether or not they wish to participate in a group session the same day as their Intro Class. Either option for Intro Classes must be booked 24hrs in advance either by email or text, as they are run on demand.

In the class we cover safe training information such as correct & safe T-zone & core activation, postural muscle activation, correct breathing & correct form & technique for foundational movements that are used in all our group sessions. This class also provides an opportunity to get to know each other. As this is a foundational class, participants are welcome & encouraged to take part in the intro class as many times as they like or need.

Please note: Participants will not be allowed to join a group session without having participated in an Intro Class at least once.

Group sessions are run in the park, so there is no gym membership – making these classes extremely affordable!

* When you purchase the 10 Class Bundle, you will receive a “10 Class Pass”, which will be hole punched at each session you attend. The 10 Class Pass is valid for 3 months from the date of purchase.

Morning Group Fitness Sessions are held:                                                                               

Tuesdays- 10.30am

Thursdays- 9.40am

at Prince Alfred Park (near the pool) Surry Hills.

 

NEW EVENING GROUP FITNESS SESSION:

7pm Thursday evenings, near the pool in Prince Alfred Park.

 

NEW Early Pre & Post Natal 6 Session Course: Current Class Tuesdays at 4.30pm

Create your own group:
If our class times don’t suit you, create your own group! Group sessions can be created when you have a minimum of 4 people.
These specialty groups are $20 per person.

Your kids are always welcome both at Personal Training sessions & the Group Sessions. While their safety remains your responsibility, Mel is always happy to help with your little ones where possible. At Group Sessions we provide a rug, a play tent & some books & blocks to keep your kids occupied while you work out.

 

GROUP SESSIONS WILL BE CANCELLED IF IT IS RAINING.

 

*The Group Fitness Sessions are not designed for pregnant or post natal women.

Women who are less than 12 weeks Pregnant wanting to join the Group, will need to partake in at least 4 Personal Training Sessions, prior to being able to join. Or gather 4 or more other women together & do a 6 session course to prepare you to safely join the group sessions. Groups of 4 or more will be able to take advantage of the regular group prices.

Or gather 4 or more women together (ask your mother’s group!) & do a 6 session course to prepare you to safely join the group sessions.
